FREE Publishing House Launches New Website

The FREE Publishing House has launched JudaismInRussian.com, a Russian-language website dedicated to servicing the Russian-Jewish immigrant community. The website contains information on a multitude of mitzvot such as tefillin, kashrut, shabbat, mikvah, mezuzah, and bris milah (circumcision). The site explains the holiday laws and customs for both the major Yomim Tovim like Pesach and Sukkot, to the less widely known holidays like Lag BaOmer.

JudaismInRussian.com also offers a library section with complete access to the Five Books of Moses, the Prophets, Tehillim, the Rambam's Mishnah Torah, Tanya, Philosophy of Chabad and more. In addition, the site features a weekly heritage column on the weekly Torah portion.

The site offers English descriptions and references alongside the Russian text. These are proving useful to English-speaking readers, especially rabbis and teachers who teach Russian-speaking students, reflects Rabbi Yosef Y. Okunov, Director of the FREE Publishing House.

JudaismInRussian.com is another innovative move by the FREE Publishing House to meet the ever-increasing thirst for knowledge in the Russian-Jewish community.
